Q:Why do you not have a phone number or address listed?
A:I used to have both listed on my website but would get calls all hours of the night,so I no longer have it listed.
As for the address not being posted is because I would have folks sending me their toys without an appointment,which becomes total chaos.

Q:Hey Doc my Teddy Ruxpin's mouth fell out can it be fixed?
A:Yes it most certainly can,if you have the mouth piece send it along if not I have replacements.
Q:My Teddy Ruxpin doesn't play tapes well can you fix this?
A:Yes by refurbishing the tape player which is part of the restoration process.
Q:I live in the UK so do you do foreign repairs as well?
A:Yes I do,as a matter of fact I have done repairs from Italy,France,Germany,Ireland,
Great Britain,UK,Spain,Africa,China,Japan,Phillipines,Korea,Australia,and Newfoundland.
Q:Do you give a discount if I send you more than one repair?
A:No sorry I don't.
Q:What makes your repairs better than the other Teddy fixer uppers?
A:Well I have gotten repairs from folks who have sent their Teddy,Grubby,etc. to various other restorers.I have found quite a few modifications and updates along the years which are proven to make a WOW last alittle longer.
Q:Do you give technical support or tell me how to fix my Teddy Ruxpin?
A:No sorry I don't, except if you had a Teddy Ruxpin or WOW restored by me.
There are alot of things to go wrong if I say "you can fix it like this" and the information is misinterpreted.
Such as massaging the eyes, to much pressure on them and snap you will have poor Teddy's eye rolling around in his head "literally".
Q:Can I have your phone number to call you?
A:No sorry I only use e-mail for communications as I used to have my phone number available and would get calls all hours of the day and night.
Q:Why is a restoration so costly?
A:There is quite a bit of time involved not only in the restoration,but the searching for donor WOW's for replacement parts,packaging,shipping,as well as the standard parts and materials which go into a restoration.There is also the extra labor involved in the updates and modification techniques involved.
Q:Hello DR. C.E. I had several Worlds of Wonder toys done by you,and will have more done as well.My question is how long will you continue repairing them?
A:Good question: )
As long as possible I hope,right now another 10+ years : )
Q:I just want my Teddy's mouth fixed the eyes and tape player work.How much will it cost?
A:To answer your question whatever my restoration price is for a Teddy Ruxpin at the time.I don't just repair a non working eye or mouth,I do a whole restoration because if I just fix your Teddy's mouth and two weeks later the eyes don't work it has been a waste of time.With a complete restoration head to toe and everything in between I get very few reworks or returns.
Q:Do you sell parts like eyes and mouths and tape players?
A:No sorry I don't sell repair parts like you have mentioned.But I do sell battery covers,animation/interactive cords when I have them in stock.
Q:Do you have people working for you?
A:No I am the "lone wolf" so to speak.My son and daughter tried once to help but didn't like it much,and my wife pricked her finger with the sewing needle several times doing a Teddy,so I am the only worker at A.F.
Which is why if I am off on another endeavor I get quite a backlog.
Q:Is your work guaranteed?
A:Yes I send a 30-Day Electronic Warranty along with every restoration done by me.
Q:How long does it take a restoration to be completed?
A:Normally a week or two as I like to keep them for awhile when a restoration is done and play them off and on to test them further.
But and yes there is a but, it can be (1) to (6) months depending on my time restrictions doing other endeavors.
I normally post a message on my home page stating any extended times such as (1) to (6) months.
Q:Do you do the little Teddy Ruxpins too?
A:No sorry I don't at this time.I used to do the smaller WOW/PlaySkool/Hasbro and Yes Entertainment Teddy Ruxpin but they are very time consuming.
Maybe in the future I may start them again but for now I only do the 1985-1987 WOW Teddy Ruxpin which uses (4) "C" Batteries.
Q:Can I trade in my Teddy Ruxpin for a restored one?
A:Yes,but I don't give much for a non-working Teddy Ruxpin and it is just as easy to restore the one you want to trade in.
Q:Will I get my same Teddy Ruxpin back?
A:Yes you will get your same Teddy Ruxpin back, as I don't switch any of them, not a practice I do.
Q:How do I know I am getting my same Mother Goose back?
A:You can mark it some way if you really feel more secure in doing so.
