POP (Point of Purchase) STORE DISPLAYS were made famous by WORLDS OF WONDER, I remember our family seeing the big AIRSHIP Display at Toys-r-Us and my son Jared saying "can we have it".

The very unfortunate scenario as thru the years I have gotten emails and letters from folks telling me they worked at Toys-r-Us, and other retail stores, and they remember being told to throw them in the dumpster during cleanup times.Some were keep by the employee,most were aquired by DR. Clay "Bearwell" when he purchased all the leftover WOW stock in 1991 and he had them displayed and sold them at Toy Faire. I see some for sale every now and again but not like 5 years ago.

Yes I have restored/repaired Store Displays, I don't collect them as much, and am currently going to start selling the remaining ones I do have.Had 25 of the WOW Store Displays down to about 8 now."The AIRSHIP" Display is still my favorite.

The pictures of WOW Store Displays will have a a LPCB for Long Printed Circuit Board (these displays had a long board that had the ability to hook-up their counterpart Teddy/Grubby etc. a SPCB for Short Printed Circuit Board (these displays had a short board that only had the one character ability),interesting note as some were made with either, non-standardized.

AMBER CONCEPT DRAWING

Amber would have been a female version of Teddy Ruxpin.She went to prototype status and was done due to WOW financial troubles.

I have video footage of her, a longhaired version of Teddy Ruxpin,she had a few of her own tapes which would be on the mega-extremely rare items.

She was going to be Teddy's veterinarian lady friend who of course took care of the animals in the forest.

"The Magical Comes to Life" Series. Worlds of Wonder never produced this series before they went out of business in 1991. A WOW/Disney collaboration!

TALKING BABY MISS PIGGY CONCEPT DRAWING

Miss Piggy made it to prototype stage as I have seen pictures of her.

She would have been more like Baby Teddy Ruxpin
her mouth and eyes moved,with pre-loaded phrases.
This was the first concept before being changed to the "Muppet Magic" wireless version.

She was then just turned into a LITTLE BOPPER.

CHARLIE BROWN PROTOTYPE

Never made it to production status.I have seen video of Snoopy and Charlie Brown interacting together,and seen a picture of the POP Store display with Snoopy and "Chuck".

I have only seen this one in prototype stage but was told there were a few made but never reached the stores.

THE PUGGLE'S CONCEPT DRAWING

Puggles were a family of modified moles with stories much like Teddy Ruxpin, good, wholesome, and caring.

I had pictures of the "Ma" and "Pa" Puggles in their factory boxes.They made it to prototype stage, and also done due to WOW finacial woes.

They lit up and sort of made sparks as well as talk/animate like Teddy Ruxpin but used a cartridge like Pamela/Julie.

Also a note of mention these tapes were distributed by Mattel and have Mattel's name on them as well as WOW.

MAMA PAPERA (MOTHER GOOSE) ITALIAN VERSION

She is an Italian Version Mother Goose all the box illustrations are in the Italian Langauge as well as her hang tag around ner neck.
A point to mention as I get emails about this, all the Foreign Language Version WOWs' are just regular WOWs' with a Foreign Langauge tape.

TALKING BABY TEDDY RUXPIN PROMOTIONAL VERSION

This Talking Baby Teddy Ruxpin was not used as a toy, but was used for promotional photo shoots for packaging and display production.This is the 4TH. Production Model as labeled.

TALKING MICKEY MOUSE THE VERY FIRST MODEL

This is the First Production Model Talking Mickey Mouse created by WOW for the Walt Disney Company.
This very Mickey was not sold but used to produce animated displays and packaging for retail, the label is marked accordingly.

GOOFY PROTOTYPE

This Goofy is a one-of-a-kind handmade used for early packaging photos.
He was made by Janan Fairbairn.

TWEEG ORIGINAL HAND PUPPET

Tweeg always wanting to get into MAVO, but the Tweeg on the left is the original handmade one-of-a-kind hand puppet used for photo and packaging displays,he also has legs which is lacking in the production model.This Tweeg was made by Janan Fairbairn.

WENDY'S TEDDY RUXPIN KIDS' MEAL

Missing is theTeddy Ruxpin toy character.This is in Excellent Condition which is rare in any condition.

TEDDY RUXPIN FAN CLUB MATERIALS (COLLECTOR'S EDITION)

These came in packages in the mail,for young and adults as well.In large Collector versions to smaller growth chart versions.coloring books,stories,posters,personal letters from Teddy, as well as stickers.
